From a front-end perspective, the main challenge was to redesign the user interface in a way that would boost conversion rates and average e-commerce cart size .
Additionally, there was a need to integrate newsletter subscribers (and non-subscribers) between the two sites, even though they were operated through two different email marketing providers.
It was also necessary to automate the daily order download process and synchronization with the company management system.

From here, our team worked to develop a new structure that combined the graphic, functional and commercial aspects, in order to effectively communicate the brand values and the benefits of online purchasing, creating a sense of trust and reliability.
Once the initial audit was completed, which allowed us to identify the main strengths and weaknesses, we began to identify all the technical interventions necessary during the development and migration phase.
We have created a daily order export system for the company ERP adopted by the client.
To ensure maximum ease of use and high security standards, we have created a hybrid solution that involves the use of Shopify Flow in combination with an API service created specifically on the proprietary platform Hoculus Analytics V2 and Google Cloud API/Google Sheets API.
By creating the API service exclusively in passive mode (listening to requests) it was possible to avoid saving sensitive data on the proprietary Hoculus server and not request access to data, keys or other information relating to Damiano's store.
By performing the audit, we were able to observe that many sales came from email traffic; for this reason we decided to proceed with the import of the contacts already present in the previous platform into Shopify.
The only hurdle to solve was in the export due to missing columns required by Shopify. Thanks to a triangulation of information provided by the providers, we were able to adapt the document and import tens of thousands of accounts marked with a segment created specifically for customers transferred from the old ownership.

The integration of the banner for the management of cookies has been performed through the use of code with support for different languages.

Translate & Adapt is the official translation app developed directly by Shopify that allows you to translate your e-commerce into multiple different languages, giving you the option to translate both automatically and manually if the translation does not meet your needs.
The client requested an automatic translation system and this app was definitely the most suitable one, also having large portions of text. In this specific case, the translation was made into the French language for the Belgian - French market.
